01 / REQUIREMENTS & PRE-FLIGHT
What we need before we start.
Remote access to the vehicle
- An ENET cable and suitable computer with Ethernet or a compatible adapter.
- Reliable Internet and someone available beside the vehicle.
- Stable vehicle power and a computer connected to power throughout the work.
- We confirm the remote connection setup with you before the appointment.
Correct head-unit preparation
- The appropriate FSC feature activation codes must be reloaded. We check their availability and status.
- If an emulator is fitted, it must be removed. Tell us about the retrofit and installed equipment so we can confirm the required work.
- The head unit must be coded correctly for the vehicle configuration. We review existing coding and retain backups before changes.
- Do not erase or change settings yourself to prepare. We first assess your particular head unit and agree the steps.
For 2 GB EVO units, we recommend wired.
For NBT EVO versions with 2 GB RAM, we recommend wired Android Auto for greater stability. Tell us the RAM capacity if known; otherwise we will check it with the head unit.

1 · Join
Enter your name, email, model/year and what you know about your head unit. You receive an NBT2 number and a private link showing status and enquiries ahead of you.
2 · FIFO service
The CRM selects the oldest enquiry. If the customer being served needs to provide information, their place is held. Any cancellation is recorded with a reason.
3 · Assessment & appointment
We check compatibility, FSCs, emulator, coding and ENET connectivity, then agree the appointment and work. Joining does not take payment or start installation.
4 · Installation & verification
BMW EXPERT performs the remote work and we check operation in the vehicle with you. You retain your original NBT EVO and display.
Native Android Auto. No MMI box.
Wired and wireless on compatible NBT2 / NBT EVO. No permanent extra unit or replacement display is added. The computer and ENET are needed for installation. Other head-unit support will be announced separately.
